We are a lively, active community of faith. We strive to be a loving congregation, committed to welcoming ALL and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

May 31, 2026
On Trinity Sunday, the church pauses to name what we have been circling all year: that the God we worship is not a solitary sovereign but a community of love — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three and yet one. It is a mystery that resists tidy explanation, and that is part of the point. This Sunday’s Gospel gives us the Great Commission, Jesus sending the eleven out into all the world, baptizing “in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” The disciples go not fully understanding, some still doubting. And Jesus goes with them anyway. What strikes us is that the Trinity is not simply a doctrine to be studied but a pattern to be lived: given, sent, accompanying. We are drawn into that same movement. Rooted here at Saint John’s, we are sent — into our neighborhoods, into our relationships, into the ordinary days of summer that are almost upon us. And the promise holds: “I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Welcome the stranger. Welcome one another. Welcome Jesus.
